Announcements

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED:  to rake out the freshly turned dirt behind the church near the AC units where the bushes have been removed.  No set time for this; one person could do it in 30 minutes time. Thank you to those who showed up on March 20 for the out door clean up!

Thank You!
Please remember that vaccinations may stop YOU from having Covid, but you could still be a carrier.

We are thankful that our church has been able to remain open through this season of Covid 19,  and that the congregation has been doing their part to stop the spread of the virus by wearing masks and using hand sanitizer upon entering the building.  To continue to protect each other, please remember to sit at least 6 feet (in all directions) away from another family!  Many thanks to the families who already sit “together” by splitting between the “green” ends of two pews. We appreciate it!  It’s what we have to do to try to keep others safe and use our space efficiently.

NEW!!   The Adams’ are expecting a baby girl this summer and a  shower is planned for May 2 after church (during fellowship time) in the overflow section of the church. If you are able to stay, please bring your best wishes and a box of disposable diapers.

YOUTH GROUP NEWS:   Amsterdam RiSE sent two members and one leader to Sacandaga Bible  Conference’s REGEN YOUTH CONFERENCE on April 10th. Everyone had a good time; made some new friends; no one got hurt; and no one went home hungry! Four speaker sessions with time in between for laser tag, a chicken hunt, carpet ball, corn hole, 9 square, tennis. The rock wall, human foosball and high ropes were also offered, but we had no takers 😀

Thank you for supporting our youth!

If you are able to give children a ride to Youth Group (or Sunday School and Church) please let Pastor Sean or Pastor Bill know.

It was Hard to Say Good Bye   …  We are going to miss (David) Boone and his guitar; working the aging sound system; heading up youth group… His quiet demeanor yet crazy ideas have been entertaining and thought provoking.

His Christ centered music has enriched our Sunday worship.

We were happy to bring back our Coffee (and Tea) Fellowship

after the service today, in honor of David Boone and his service here at FBC.

Thank you to Rosemary and those who were responsible for the safely packed napkin /cutlery set

to go with the the lovely cake and beverages. David was quite pleased 🙂

Go with God, Boone, and be a blessing!
